NR #8: Startling Moon - Liu Hong

A six-years-old girl named Taotao was sent to her grandparents' house to live for a while because she was being rude to her mother in front of the stage of her mother's company. When she was sent to her grandparents' house, Taotao was feeling like everything had changed ever since she had moved to a new living life. Everything was strange to her at first and for a few days, she began to feel in love with that place. When Taotao was twelve years-old, her parents arrived to Taotao's grandparents' house to pick Taotao up. They couldn't believe in their eyes that Taotao changed so fast. She wasn't a little kid anymore, but now, she had turned into a young adult, with the eyes as bright as stars, beautiful black-long hair grew behind Taotao's back. Taotao regretted to go home with her parents because she felt ashamed for them to leave her with her grandparents and plus, she had felt like this place is the place where she could call it "home". However, Taotao's grandparents told her that she has to move back to her real home which is her parents' house and she felt very upset. Taotao complained about her mother's cooking skills to her grandmother and her grandmother said, "You shouldn't say that because even though your mother's cooking skills isn't as good as mine but it's your mom's cooking skills so you need to appreciate it." Taotao was being silent for a bit and she walked back to her room. Once, she met a girl named "Lotus Blossom". Lotus Blossom's mother passed away because her mother caught cancer. She was deeply sad because her mother was the person who took care for her when she was a kid. Taotao suddenly felt that sometimes, in life, we need to love someone and we need to being grateful to that person because if someday, that person is gone, you would be very sad because you just lost them. Taotao was being a hot-tempered girl because she was treated so nicely from her parents so she became a rude girl. For my opinion, this book was extremely helpful because it told me more about the past which I was being mad at my mother and now, I suddenly feel like that was the biggest mistake that I've ever done. Read this book now because you will be surprise about the morals that you'd learned from this book ^w^.
